Every night sleep talking and walking in the first few hours of falling asleep ?

I have always sleep talked - maybe once a month i would mumble something in my sleep but the past few months i have been talking pretty much every night. It is always within the first few hours of falling asleep and they are full comprehensive sentences/conversations. 4/5 times a week they are also coupled with me getting out of bed, searching for things, trying to get 'imaginary' things out the room. I have tried all sorts - no alcohol, drinking one glass of wine, no phone 1hr before bed, reading but nothing seems to help it. Anybody have any ideas what this kind of sleep disorder is?

Your description suggests some sort of REM disorder, but hard for any of us to say.  Your best bet is to start with your primary care physician, and potentially get a referral to an MD who specializes in sleep.
