Sleep disorder

I have no idea what is wrong with me, I sleep between 8-9 hours a night, without waking up, the problem is when I wake up in the morning, I feel like I still have not slept!!! I am like this all the time, and have no idea why this is, it has been going on for about 6-7 months now. Does anyone have any advice regarding this. I have not felt refreshed in so long, I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone.

Hi.

The only wall that prevents you from moving forward is the wall within. And only you can 'climb' it. No use trying to jump. You have to take it step by step.

Give yourself a task at a time. Praise yourself for completing it. Set up short term goals and achieve it. Do not worry about the sleep and getting tired. Keep on working.

To say that a particular medicine does not work, we should give a fair amount of time for it to act. Continue Prozac for some more time, while you are fighting the fog.

And please do not underestimate your own ability to lift yourself up from this situation. Nature has made all the provisions.

Please let me know.

I am really not sure what is going on with me, I have tried several different anti-depressants within the past 2 years, zoloft, effexor, lexapro, cymbalta, now on prozac it seems like none of these really work for me, I am getting so discouraged about why I cant get out of this fog that I have been in for too long, I do not feel like I used to,,not one bit. I heard about this test to check the metabolism of your body to see what anti-depressant is best for an indivdual, I saw it on the news before but forgot about what it is called. I need help, I want to feel better, and feel alive again, I am getting just so tired, could you please give me some advice on some steps I can take to achieve this, I want to feel better., but I feel like I am just in a fog, and there is this wall blocking me from being able to do this, I still feel like I have not slept.

Hi Annie.

You might just be right about your diagnosis. The basic theme of Adult ADD is inattention, more than anything else. So if you do think that you can not sustain your attention to a particular task, like planning for a week, or planning the day's work, we may have a case in hand.

Now if you ask yourself one question "have I really achieved what I am capable of achieving ? " what will be the answer ?

We can consider shifting to ADD drug. Please let me know.

I have been taking anti-depressants for about 6 months now, I stopped taking them due to the fact, I do not feel like they are working for me, I am going to set up another Doctor appt, to say if I can change to a different one. I do have problems concentrating on just one thing at a time, its like my mind is constantly to all kinds of events at once, even if I have not thought about them in along time. Its weird, its like all parts of my life just keep flashing up for no reasons. I have always been a worry wort to begin with, but this gets so aggravating, I can not understand why this happens. As far as anything disturbing prior to me feeling this way, I cannot think of just one instant. Could you give me some advice of some things this might be, I was actually thinking the other day maybe Adult AD

Hi,

Sleep has several phases. Each of this phase has its own characteristics. Stage 1 is the state of light sleep.Stages 2 and 3 are deep sleep and REM is when we dream. We sleep each night undergoing more time in some phase than others.Shortened phase of deep sleep may give one the feeling of tiredness or not having slep at all,

Are you in any pain?

Is your sleep disrupted? Do you wake up several times each night?

Do you snore?

Any other illnesses like diabetes?

Are you taking any medications?

Do you take coffee?

Any circumstances during the day that seems to be associated with this?

Seek consult with your primary physician regarding this.A referral to a sleep specialist may help.

Keep in touch regarding your progress.
