Last night, my husband had been asleep for about 30-40 minutes when I became aware that he was jerking/twitching next to me. When I looked over at him, I was very alarmed - his mouth and cheeks were twitching & jerking erratically, & so was the whole left side of his neck. Every vein and tendon on that side of his neck was sticking out and jerking violently, almost like they were trying to break through the skin. I've never witnessed a seizure, but it looked to me like that was occurring - just isolated to his mouth and neck. I tried to wake him and it took some screaming and shaking on my part, before he suddenly bolted up, gasping and awake. As soon as he woke up, it all subsided, and he assured me he felt fine. Oddly, he said he had been having a nightmare that he was being electrocuted by wires on his face and neck. He is 32 years old, and generally healthy.
