my leg violently kicks all day and night

I actually don't know if it's this (RLS) or something else. I have been to Jefferson sleep center, robert wood jonhson sleep center, and variety of docs. Every test in the world, and nobody knows what it is???

My symptoms: I don't know when it's going to happen, but it always happens at night, and sometimes during the day.  My left leg violently kicks as though I'm kicking a ball backwards, or forwards, then I spasm up thru my body. My right leg kicks much less infrequently, maybe every few days. My left leg is everyday and night.  I am always sucking my toungue and lips, I can't keep still or stay anywhere too long, I have this over whelming feeling that I have to leave, When my leg isn't involintarily kicking, both my legs will moving up and down, fast, people call it unused energy, but I'm so tired, I have no energy or inkling to move my legs at all!!

I have bi-polar disorder, and was put on resperdol and zyprexa for over 5 years,  when my leg started kicking, my doc thought it may be a side effect of those drugs, so she took me off, but 3 years later and I am still suffering!!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?  I'M FALLING APART ESPECIALLY WITH NO SLEEP!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Hello, Sheryl.

I'm so sorry to read that you're having such difficulty getting good sleep.  Has your doctor offered you any sleep aid?  One option could be valium because it relaxes the muscles and may prevent the leg spasms.

Keep pushing for an answer.  Best of luck!
