Thank you so much for the information.My sugar is good but i do have a mild case of sleep apnea.I am using the oral device instead of the cpap which i did not like.I haven't been feeling to bad when i wake up so may be the oral device will help.Sorry i didn't answer sooner. ace153
If this shakiness is only at night, I doubt it is blood sugar, but it wouldn't hurt to have a monitor on hand to check it while you have that feeling. Same with thyroid issues - it would likely happen during the day also. Those are 2 common causes of feeling shaky. If these wakenings are accompanied by a fast pulse, you may want to see if you could possibly have sleep apnea, which can stress the heart and shoot stress hormones into the body.
