Possible Sign?

i have only been to church maybe a total of 5 times my entire life..my family is not religious..but I do believe in God...I had an episode of "sleep paralysis" the other night where i had envisioned a demon in my room and was completely horrified..apparently this is a common thing to see if you experience SP for some reason..but I am wondering if maybe it is a sign..maybe I need to have a deeper relationship with God..or maybe it really was just a random side effect of SP?

Saddly im no expert in SP but it never hurts to have a strong relationship with what you believe. But i dont think it needs to be about fear as your only reason to be pushed.

I would stand and say that since you are only partly awake it is possible your horror of not be able to move is excitted with you imagination creating a false image of something is happening. Once i was sleeping when all of the sudden i was awoken to a shadowy figure looking like my dad awaking me even though he was not in the room.  I ws awake but my mind had created a false image. Perhaps its something or perhaps nothing. If you are worried i would go to a doctor first.

Good question.  I have dealt with sleep paralysis for many years.  It is frightening when it happens.  I remember thinking after being out of the church for a long time that if I went to a therapist they would say something traumatic had happened that I couldn't remember and if I went to a priest, he would say that Satan was after me.......

I ran into the church ......I never know when the SP will happen.  I end up reciting the Lord's prayer or the 23rd Psalms & that helps but I go through H..LL first with terror & struggling to move to turn up the light or go upstairs.  Why some have this happen I don't know.....I have read all sorts of spiritual warfare books.  I tried "rebuking Satan" during some of the episodes.

I think there must be a medical reason for this and perhaps we should ask???

I have learned to live with it & just cope.  When I was a child, my days were different than my night world.  I had some hope in reading about Indigo Children or HSP's...(highly sensitive people).
