His doctor may very well be medicating him so that he does sleep most of the time. It's a good thing I'm told. His brain has suffered an insult. It needs time to heal while no being "exercised" often. It's sort of like a broken arm. They put it in a cast and sling so it's not "exercised" until the bone(s) have had a reasonable chance to heal.
Washy21 do not feel bad. My mother suffered a stroke on 7/2/2007 and was much the same way a week after the stroke she was very tired and wanted to sleep all the time. It has been 4 weeks exactly today and she is better. She now can be up for greater periods and is less tired. Do not get me wrong she is still tired, but not as much as before. I am told by the neurologist that this normal with brain trauma and does go away eventually. My mother-in-law is a physician and she too has had mini strokes ( 2 if my memory serves me well) and she said that she was more tired than normal for a few months, but as she recovered she regained energy and could be up longer and longer. Now I see no difference and she can be at her office till 2am. Do not give up it will get better.
