everything you have described as the symptems of a stroke he has. The muscles in his face are tense on one side. his head nodds when he is sleeping and walking.when he walks he leans to one side and has trouble.Just in the last few days hes started to have memory loss, forgettin little things for instance christmas gifts he asked for himself and where he is. Perhaps because the nurses have increased his dose of pills after constant mygrane. Even though hes takin the tablets they ware off after 1 hour and hes in pain for the next 4-5 until his next pills. hes drugged up the eyeballs and very tired. hes seen 2 or 3 neurologists and they dont no. He has had a CAT scan, hes been in the tunnel twice, lumber puncture ( the injection in the spine), blood tests, ultrasounds. Everythign is clear the only thing they have given us is that his blood has abnormalities in it. The last few days over the weekend the seizures have been getting worse but beacause the doctors go home he hasnt had the attention i think he needs. I am incredibly frustrated because how many seizures does he have to have before they see it as serious. I dont even no if it is life threatening but David is preparing himself to be able to handle these seizres for the rest of his life. Which is heartbraking because if these cant be cured or the doctors cant treat it or dotn no what it is he will eb sent home and housebound because his seizures are so violent.
The pain first occurs half a second before in the right side of his brain hes been told my the nurologists that it is brain related and it isnt how can it not be if the pain first occurs in his head. The seizures are getting worse and all the doctors are doing is picking straws and testing him for his liver etc. in the eman time therte just drugging him up. Hes gettin worse and gettin himself down. can you tell me anything else about what you think ? thanx Danii
David,
I'm not sure I can help but I have a hard time with how they are handeling the situation as it sounds like there is a definate problem. Can you take him to another hospital to get a second evaluation? It sounds like it is brain related based on your description.
A stroke causes migraines, blurred vision, memory loss, confussion, immobility, facial muscle loss, amongst other things.
I don't think it is a stroke. (?) It sounds like it is very serious (brain related). I'd get many x-rays until a discovery is made and see a neurologist.
