5mg Femara?

Has anyone here tried Femara?  I have 5 tablets that a friend of mine had leftover (unexpired & still in the pack), and I'm thinking about trying it on cd3-7 next cycle.

I'm 5 dpo right now, but I don't think there's much of a chance since we could only BD 3 days prior to ovulation.  Although I have read conflicting stories on the Internet that that is "prime" time to BD. :-)

Thanks all!

Femara is similar to clomid (without the side effects!) and Repronex is an injectible medication.  Both require a prescription.  I got pregnant with my daughter using the Repronex 9 years ago.

My only advice would be to try Preseed (just in case you're like me and don't always get tons of fertile cm), take a prenatal vitamin every day and encourage your husband/boyfriend to also take a multi-vitamin daily.

Track your cycles using BBT (I can't because I get up several times a night) or using OPK's (this works very well for me - especially the digital one by ClearBlue).

Good luck to you!  Hopefully, we can both post a BFP soon!

Can you tell me what femara and repronex are?  I am trying to conceive naturally and I will be 43 this year so I will take whatever I think might help.  Any advice? thanks

I looked at the tablets again, and they are only 2.5mg so I am going to take them next cycle on cd3 - cd7.  Yes, I am being naughty, but I've been on repronex and femara before.  Only caused cysts once and it resolved on its own.  Also bought some Preseed - I figure it can't hurt!! :-)

I hate to admit it, but I would probably take them.  I know it's naughty.  I would just figure that Femara is really not any stronger or worse than clomid.  My doc prescribed clomid for me and didn't do any US or anything.  Just told me if I had trouble, let her know.

I would just make sure that you GO to the doc if you have ovary pain that is worse than normal ov pain.

Unfortunately you should not take Fermara without seeing a dr first. You need to be checked for cyst and other concerns prior to taking it. I have taken many cycles of Fermara and I have little side effects with it, mostly just weight gain.

You should consider taking Fertilaid if you want to take a non prescription pill that can help.
