In case anyone wants to try.....

I am not sure how religious anyone is out there....but I wanted to share something with all of you:

St. Gerard Maiella is the patron st. of unborn children and woman trying to conceive (he was truly a miracle worker in his day!).  I say this prayer every day.  I hope this brings you SSBD and comfort if you chose to pray it.

Saint Gerard Maiella - Prayer for Motherhood

O good St. Gerard, powerful patron and protector of mothers and of children yet unborn, to you do I turn in my hour of anxiety.  Of you I beg the blessing of a happy motherhood.  When all human assistance seems to fail, come to my aid by your interecession at the throne of God.  Deign to beseech the Divine Author of Life to bless me with offspring that I may raise up children to God in this life and heirs to His heavenly kingdom.  Amen.

Thank you for posting this prayer.  My mom (good Italian catholic mother) has told me to pray to St. Gerard.  I believe in the power of prayer and staying positive..

I recently went through my second IVF.. Was pregnant, but had an early miscarriage.  I sort of lost my faith for a bit...Really went through a dark period.. I'm now starting to heal and trying hard to just do everything I can possibly do to take care of myself and let God do the rest.. because what I am learning is that ultimately the miracle of pregnancy is not in our hands.. We can do everything to prepare ourselves.. but we cannot control the outcome..

I am just trying to have faith for now.. and hope like all of us here, that things will work out...

Thanks so much for posting the prayer.. Good luck to you on your journey..

Hi Trying4Mommy,
I know about St. Gerard. When I told my pastor that I was pregnant, he gave me a booklet of prayers to him with a novena. I did say these prayers every day and also the novena. Unfortunately, my pregnancy ended in a blighted ovum. I finished passing everything over this past weekend.
:(

I understand that St. Gerard has been there for many pregnant ladies for centuries, but I stopped praying these prayers when I found out that I would miscarry. I probably will start again when we start TTC. I know everything happens for a reason and that blighted ovums are very common, but it's still hard. It was my first pregnancy, and I'm 40. Wondering if I will ever be pregnant again.

Good luck to you & to everyone here! St. Gerard, pray for us.
