I think yes on both as far as taking the whole month. They will be especially helpful in keeping the progesterone level up in the second half of the month. Many women take both all the way through the first trimester.
Re: DHEA, I have heard of only a few women with side effects at the 75mg level. When I got up to 200mg, I did get alot of side effects, but I never should have taken so much of it! I'm going to do 75mg for the next 4 months. If it works, great. If not, I'm not increasing the dose. I actually just had my hormone levels checked a couple of weeks ago right before starting DHEA. Should get the results this week. Will be interesting to see if anything was low.
I was thinking of trying Maca too. Thanks for the question and input.
Thank you guys so much!
mi_amorcito - I tried clomid for two months, got it off the internet. It didn't work for me at all. I think it was the real stuff because it made me so moody and I couldn't wait for day 5 to be over. Then the moodiness went away slowly over only about 2 days.
Risa and Sherri - Thank you for your infor on the maca, vitex and dhea. I think I will try taking more dhea (think I'll go ahead with the 75mg, since I don't seem to be ovulating anyway... can't hurt probably) and will order the maca and vitex. Are you supposed to take them all month long?
Thank you!! SSBD to all of you!!!
Maca and Vitex are both great! The maca, I believe people take anywhere from 1,500mg-3,000mg a day divided into 3 doses. (Some people take more. I'd say start off slow and work your way up.) Really helped me with getting my hormones balanced. I had really low progesterone and was taking Prometrium with no results. Then I added maca in addition to the Prometrium and my progesterone was completely normal.
Vitex is great for balancing hormones, too. I have the liquid tincture thing. I should be doing it 2-3 times a day (I think 1-2 ml). I think it's supposed to help with ovulation, too. I think I once heard it called the natural Clomid. Both maca and Vitex are adaptogens, so they're not actually hormones. They just help you balance your hormones.
Sounds like you have a good plan. That's too bad that your relationship is being affected by this, as far as the frequency of lovemaking. Maybe there's a way for you guys to be reminded why you fell in love in the first place? If that spark comes back perhaps it will even help you w/TTC? Who knows?
DHEA worked for me once. FSH went from the 30's down to 10.3 or something like that. I was taking a pretty high dose to get that result. If you're doing ok on 25mg, have you thought of trying 50mg for a while and then 75mg? I'm sure you already know from your own research that 75mg is the usual dose from the NY clinic CHR that does the DHEA trials.
Any way best of luck to you! Will be thinking of you and praying for a successful result! SSBD! :)

I found a great website with low prices, www.vitacost.com They have macaroot(capsules) and vitex(liquid) and lots of other vitamins. I am taking B6 as well. You can look at a natural fertility recipe on my journal I posted in early August, that I found on the website and posted so others could see the formula. I tried DHEA under Dr care and it wasn't good for me, but others have had great success.
