Mt bbt

Anyone familiar with bbts and how they should look, I've started tracking mine, they are up and down so much. Is this normal - I test at the same time each morning? Can you have a look at my tracker??

I was using the inner ear thermometer and can take my temp 4 times in a row and get a different reading each time.  Now I use a bbt thermometer and am seeing consistent results....yes, I took the bbt about 3 times in a row at first and had the same temp or within .1 degree of the previous one.  Good luck!

That all sounds good, except I think you're supposed to use a BBT thermometer which is an oral thermometer. (I bought a digital one at Target for $7.00.) It's more accurate, or at least it is a more detailed result (the result goes all the way down to hundredths). Personally I wouldn't think that using an ear thermometer would make a difference especially since you are taking temps at the right time of day, but maybe some of the other ladies know better. But I'd think about getting a BBT thermometer any way. Keep us posted! Baby dust! :)

I make sure I test before I get out of bed, I'm using a digital ear thermometer each time, should I use something else?  my opks have been positive on day 12 pretty much each month - negative the rest -  I don't think Ive got medical issues besides being overly obsessive about TTC. LOL . I really appreciate your input.

Thanks
Michelle

I've had a few BBT ups and downs myself. (I imagine mine were mostly immune system related. I have lupus and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.) Do you have any known medical issues that might cause temp fluctuations? Also, and forgive me if this is a silly question since you did say you test at the same time each morning, but regardless of the actual time, do you always take your temp immediately after waking before doing much moving around? (A few times I forgot, got up, went to the bathroom, and then took my temp! Oops!) :-)

Your variations are pretty substantial. So I'd definitely ask your doctor if they have any ideas. Good that at least your OPK's are positive. (Another potentially silly question, they're not positive all the time, are they? I had that happen! Lol! I've had everything weird happen!) Keep us posted! SSBD! :-)

I've been testing for about 4 months.  Mine go up steadily after o and stay up until starting my period, maybe a fews days into it even; then go down until after I o again.  I looked at yours and I'm hoping its something to do with the testing; because otherwise it's looking like an anovulatory cycle.  There are many things that can cause your temps to vary though.  Are you getting positives on OPK's?
