Success Stories for IUI with Gonal-F

Hello all.  I'm going into my next IUI cycle, this time with Gonal-F injections, so I was hoping to get some feedback on experience/success.  This will be my third IUI consecutively.  The previous two that have been unsuccessful were with Clomid and Bravelle.  I'm hoping this new med will do the trick and prove successful!  Anyone out there that has had an IUI w/Gonal-F and was successful, I would love your input ~ it would be most helpful...to keep my positive vibe going!    I was so sad to get another BFN yesterday, but today I feel very positive about this new change for my next cycle!  :)

I'm crossing my fingers for you for a BFP!  And I hope that this next week flies by for you too!  Some get lucky on the first IUI try - so don't let my experience bring you down, stay positive!  I believe everything happens as it is supposed to, when it is supposed to.  I know what you mean though, it sounds like it's so fool proof when they put the star players on the field so close to home plate like that.  Just goes to show, medicine can only get you so far and the rest is up to God.  I will keep you in my prayers.  Think happy thoughts!!!!  :)

Thank you for the comments on my photo.   My husband too was and is my best accessory.  I'm really hoping 3rd time is the charm.   I had the IUI at 10:23 on 10/23.   and My 8 year old daughter was born on the 23rd.   Can get better odds than that right :).  I'll keep you posted, keep me posted with yours as well.   Its disheartening to hear that your previous IUI's didn't work.   I just don't get that.   I mean, when you think about it....everyone is in the same room, why aren't they "partying".   Its not like doing it on our own and the little sperm have to roam thru the whole house to find the little egg :).

Well I've got one week to go, next Friday I will be officially "late", so I'm hoping and praying.

Good luck to you too, its great to have someone to go thru this with, let me know, you are in my thoughts.

Hey Lady,

I got both my BFPs from IUI...injectables. I used Bravelle & Menopur for one (converted from IVF) & the other was Gonalf...so long though, not sure if I used anything with it. Here's to great reults on your next cycle & a BFP to boot. ;o)

Hi Alexis!  Oh the dreaded 2WW....I'll cross my fingers and toes and say some prayers for you definitely!  3 follies is a good number!  It's a lucky number too, so I'm hoping this soon to be 3rd IUI for me will be the charm as well!  I'm not taking any other meds with the Gonal-F other than the Ovidrel Trigger.  With the Clomid I was on, I did have night sweats and crazy mood swings, but I think the Gonal-F is supposed to be less symptomatic.  So I'm happy to change up for that reason as well.  Please keep me posted on your status.  When is your blood test to see if it worked?

Hi there,

I too just had my first IUI with Gonal-F.   I'm currently in the 2ww, so I don't have a BFP to give you, but I'm sure hoping.   I took Femara on CD 3 - 7 and Gonal-F on day 7.   I had a nice thick lining and 3 follies ready.   The timing seemed perfect, so I'm sure thinking good thoughts.    I did not have any side effects from the Gonal-F at all, and they definately helped make great follies.   I do have a little bruising on my tummy from the injections, but its not sore or painful at all.

Good luck to you, I'll keep you in my thoughts, and I'll let you know how it goes on this end.
