HCG level?

I took a blood test on friday and the HCG level was 271 and today I retook  the test and now is 471. My question> Is it rising at a good rate or not? Please give me your opionion please

Thanks to all of you.. I guess my hcg is 481 not 471 ( a little better lol)

Let us know how your blood work goes!  I know Oct 8th seems a lifetime away... but it's just around the corner!  Congrats again!  And I hope you have an uneventful and wonderful 9 months!!!!

It's looking very good.  It doesnt have to double exactly but the fact that it's increasing quite a bit is a good sign!

Yes, it looks good! As long as the numbers increase, I think that's what matters. Like adgal said, you will have a better idea when you do your scan. Good luck and keep us posted! Congratulations!

It's rising, so that is a positive.  My OB told me less and less is being made of doubling times, they look for an increase vs. a decrease and that's about it now.  With the ability to see so much on early ultrasound, that is far more reliable in terms of viability.  When are you going in for your first scan?

I also wanted to let you know that when I was pregnant with my son, I almost drove myself crazy trying to interpret those HCG levels.  I remember one set of bloodwork where the numbers only doubled something like every 96 hours...I was completely convinced I had lost him (I was also bleeding).  But he is now 8 months old, so I have decided next time around (if I am so blessed) I'm not doing that to myself.  Those online doubling time calculators can cause way more stress then they are worth!!

It should double every 2 days, but it looks like it is climbing!  When is your next beta?  I think you probably won't know for sure until then... but to me, it looks promising : )
