5 days late on period but i have almost all pregnancy symptoms
ok so i know im only 16 but i was 5 days late on my period and have had symptoms of pregnancy for a little over a month! me and my boyfriend had protected sex but the condom slipped! I took a test after a week and the test came negative but i have heard of the test not being able to read sometimes! Not only that but the test i took i think didnt work bc it took more than 8 hours to get a result! I wasnt stressed at all b4 my period so i know it's not stress making my period late and this was april 22nd that i had sex and the next day my period started which was supposed to happen! In may my period came on time but was extremely light and lasted like 1 or 2 days! Now this month it came 5 days late and is still extremely light! If i am pregnant i would be 2 months and 9 days (9 weeks 2 days) along ! I have almost all the symptoms including morning sickness, headaches, my lower abdomin feels like its starting to get hard, and i have been eating alot more than normal! im constantly in the kitchen looking for food! i havent taken another test since the first one bc i havent had the money lately! someone please help me!
You should re-test b/c if the test took 8 hours for results then it did not work. If your test comes back negative then you have to go to your doctor.
I agree with VaniDavila, please re-test. I heard that the dollar store have pregnancy test and they are equally as good, so does Target.
Definitely retest! It should never take 8 hours to get the results (in fact most tests are not supposed to be read after the first ten minutes, because the results are considered inaccurate after that long!)
Your tummy won't start showing for two to three months. so you'de be right in that area. You should most def retest, 8 hours is way too late. Dollar store does have great dollar tests. Though I think that you should go to planned parenthood. Free test and stuff and if your not cross your fingers you can get an appointment for the pills which you should get on. They are very nice and helpful and totally free for people with no job. If you have one lie they don't know. and the pills are free as well. GL.
As a side note, hunny your 16 don't want to sound mothery but you shouldn't be having sex unless your fully protected i've had tons of friends have kids that young and they all miss out on a lot and live a very tought life.

Ok so everyone keeps telling me to go to planned parenthood! well do u have to have a parent with u?? and do u have to pay for the pregnancy tests?? im confused
No, it should be free. Check with your local health department. I go to the local health department and got my annual pap, and free birth control and lots of free condoms.. Type your county and "health department" into google and you should get information about it. Like I said its all free. And you'll get your pregnancy test results before you leave. You'll also get tested for STD's.. I'd really recommend that you check it out.

Kenzie, to answer your question about showing, it doesn't happen right away! It takes a while for most people, especially with a first pregnancy. Some women bloat early-on, so they do look pregnant even before they have any pregnancy weight or growth. I do have one friend who looked pregnant after a month, but for most of my friends that's not the case. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I didn't show until I was six months. This time, I'm pregnant with twins, and I was really showing by three months. I'd look for other symptoms like, sore bb's, nausea, having to go potty a lot, and obviously no period.

Ok i figured it wouldnt show for a bit! i have looked for all those signs and the ones i have are sore bb's, nausea, having to go to the restroom alot, but my period showed up 5 days late was really short and light and one of my friends has been preggie b4 and she said if you do get ur period while ur pregnant that it would most likely be 5 or more days late! Not only that but im constantly eating i was in the kitchen at 2:00 this morning eating and i feel like i need to sleep all day but i cant because i have to help my mom watch my 3 year old brother!

No you don't have to bring a parent! tell them you don't have insurance.. so it'll be free and no questions asked...

The light period should definitely be checked out. Sometimes women sort of spot around the time of their periods even though they're pregnant. Even if you aren't pregnant, it will be important for you to know in case something else is off hormonally. 1st
