I can't say for sure if you are or not but anytime you have sex without a condom you run the risk of getting pregnant even while on birth control but there is even a bigger chance if you are not on birth control or not taking it properly. Since you took it a few times and then did not I don't know if that may have caused your body to ovulate sooner, later, or made no difference. So it's really hard to say. If you ovulated at the same time as you normally do and the calendar was right there is even more of a chance of pregnancy. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do right now except wait until your period is due to test which I know seems so so far away. Just try to keep your mind at ease right now because being stressed can also cause your period to be late. Are you still taking your pills? If you are I would not just in case you are pregnant. Start them again after your period and you have a negative pregnancy test. I would take a test either way. You can actually take one 14 days from your last unprotected sexual encounter since your period may be a little off from taking the pill. Good luck and I hope that everything works out for you.
yeahh. do you think i might be?? and thank you so much for you help
Yeah it seems to work well for young people because you have a very busy life with friends and school things it just gets to be too much. It is entirely possible to not get pregnant if you don't want to. I have been with my husband for 10 years (since I was 16). I am now 26 and we started trying to have a baby. I got pregnant the second month. Up until that point I took birth control and we always used condoms. I had goals to reach so I did what I had to. We had one scare when I was not on birth control. I was late by a few days. It really made me think and I did not hesitate to not have it happen again. Live your life and have fun. Just be safe. Good luck.
thank you so very much. i should look into that because i get so busy i forget to take them. ohh this was a lesson well learned and i plan to re-think things before i jump into them.
Well it is very possible you could be pregnant. It takes about one month for birth control to adequatly build up in your system and stop ovulation. Also missing your pills is not helping either. You were not protected during the time you had sex. Just keep in mind also that the pill does not prevent pregnancy 100% so if you do not want to have children right now you need to be responsible and use your birth control (taking it every day at the same time) as well as a condom. If you don't think you can take your pills the way you should you may want to look into other options. The Depo shot would probably be the best as you only have to get that a few times throughout the year. If you are late for your period then I would take a test. You probably were also bleeding because you missed your pills. Good luck and please keep yourself safe from things you are not ready for.
