Can you be pregnant on your period
Can you still be pregnant on your period cause I still like feel like I am about to throw up and I am running a fever. I dunno jus feel to werid? Any help?
I had unprotected sex january 18 and then one february first, which was when my next period was due, i had a heavy period with clotting that seemed to and must have been the uterus lining. Its now march 2nd and i'm getting cramps and my breasts hurt like usual right before a period. I should probably be getting it within the next couple days. Is it at all likely that i could be pregnant?

i agree....better terms would be helpful but thats not always the case, and to be honest even if there was, i doubt we'd all know them and how to use them correctly!

No I wasn't getting defensive I just think that we shouldn't call it a "period" since even though they are both very similar its not the same thing. I mean if you are bleeding and getting a negative test for months it is probably just a period but if you are bleeding like you are having your period but you've had a + then it isn't and just to be on the safe side you should be checked out.
there was no need to get defensive if thats the angle u wanted to work. i was just stating that i did have what doctors said was a 'period' for lack of better terminology. she had said she spoke with her nurse who said 'you can still bleed as if your having your period'. what i was trying to get across is that i understood what her nurse meant by those words and that it did in fact seem like a period to me when i went through it.
Wow it is coming out of the woodwork now. You CANNOT have a "period" during pregnancy. I'm sorry but everyone that is saying that is giving inaccurate information to people. It is called break through bleeding. What a nurse on another forum said was "A full blown period is possible with an intrauterine pregnancy. To have a real period requires a complete shedding of the uterine lining, which would then take the implanted embryo with it. Many women will spot, sometimes heavily, but you physically cannot have a 'real' period while pg."

maybe you should have blood drawn for some answers. maybe your have a hormonal im balance that causes the 2 periods a month and can also be an answer to the naseous problem.
to the other posters...i had my period for 3 months until i found out i was pregnant. it came every 28days and lasted for about 5days. i actually ended up at the hospital b/c i have kidney problems and it was then during the ultrasound of my kidneys the tech came across a baby. it is possible.

Well I had threw up a couple of weeks ago its was in the morning it was yellow color basically all acid cause I didnt eat nothin that morning.. But I have been having head aches and tired I dunno..But I just talk to a nusre and she said you can still bleed as if your having your period when your period and my aunt just said the whole time she was pregnant she had one and she didnt find out that she was until she was four months.. but I dunno I am confused because I get two periods a month one at the first of the month and one at the last. Well last month was apirl and I get my last period on the 21st I didnt get it but I had unprotected sex on the 19th and on apirl 1st but now its may 9th and I jus came on so I dunno do any of yal think I might be?
No Kim is right its called break thru bleeding. In order to have a REAL period you have to ovulate which you don't do when you are pregnant. But sometimes your body will bleed like you are having a period but ovulation never takes place.
Anyways have you tried taking a pregnancy test? It should be accurate. Also if you are feeling sick and have a fever are you sure that your not just sick?

my mother in-law, a maternity nurse. says that it is possible to have your period while you are pregnant and she has had several cases of women who have had it. It is rare, but it is possible.
period like symptoms are different than a full blown period. your body stops you from gettin a period. some women have break thru bleeding around the time of their periods.
Well there are some cases in which i've heard that some women experience period like bleeding while they are pregnant. So it is possible to get your period while pregnant. But i generally dont think that a fever is a symptom of pregnancy, have you experienced and other symptoms besdies feeling sick?
your not supposed to get a period while your pregnant. nor are you really supposed to bleed. if your having a period...a full blown period, your not pregnant. but some women do spot here and there. i didnt but spotting IS different than a period. and your not supposed to be running a fever when your pregnant either
