Hi Allie, I'm currently 5 months pregnant myself and I too was suffering from really bad headaches all the time, I tried to take Tylenol but that wouldn't help me at all so I talked to my Dr and he prescribed me a medication called Butalbital/APAP/Caffeine tabs, and they work miracles. Also for your back pain I have my husband rub my back for me or you can get a pregnancy massage at a spa. Hope this helps, and congrats!
back pain is not uncommon in pregnancy. my sciatic nerve was bad from day one. (i was pregnant with twins and one of them refused to move from his spot on my sciatic) my ob told me tylonol was fine. contact your ob/gyn to be sure what is and is not safe for you to take. (i had stomach ulcers so advil and motrin were bad for me to take)
Hi,
If the hot baths are soothing, continue with those. Ask your doctor if you can take Motrin for the back pain. Also know that back pain is not uncommon during pregnancy.
Also, MedHelp has several pregnancy forums. I have provided a link to one below. You may want to speak with the ladies there as you will probably get more help.
Good luck with your pregnancy!
