Light spotting week before period...normal or pregnant?

I've never paid any attention to my menstrual cycle until now. So, following a 28 day cycle from my last period, my next period should be due this Friday (Aug.7). My periods are normally really heavy bright red bleeding lasting a full 7 days. Sometimes I'll spot in between, like a constant brown blood flow and that's of course usually when my period's aren't very heavy. However, last Thursday (July 30), in the evening I went to the restroom and when I wiped, there was a bright red but not much so almost pink blood, very light. I put on a pantyliner but that was useless. Nothing until the following morning and this time it was brown and a bit heavier. Same thing on Saturday, but back to being light though still brown in color. Everything stopped on Sunday. I am sexually active with my boyfriend, and we always use a condom. Being pregnant right now would be very bad for me, so I was hoping if there's any other explanation for the experience that I described above. Thank y'all so much :)

im not saying you have PCOS im saying you can have some sort of hormonal imbalance.
symptoms of PCOS vary heavily, my symptoms are periods as ive described, others are abdominal pain, acne, excess bodily hair but i dont have any of them out of the normal range,
you need to go to your ob/gyn who can explain better then me

as youve described spotting between periods and heavy bleeding which is exactly what i have and i have PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) so theres a chance your pregnant but theres a chance you may have a hormonal imbalance, you need to get checked out by your ob/gyn
