PLEASE HELP. confused.

hi, i am 18 years old. my boyfriend and i had sex on the 3rd of may. i wasn't sure if my birth control had worked those days because i took them at different times than i normally do. (this was 3 days in a row). and so i took Plan B on the last day that it would have been effective (120 hours later). after i took it, i havnt had sex since the 3rd. my last normal period was the 28th of April and I should be srating again in about a week. i am not sure if this is normal but this morning i woke up with bad cramps, like ones i have when i am going to get my period, and then they went away but now i have some brownish discharge. what should i do? i dont know if it has to do with pregnancy or if it's an infection.

please help.

Plan B can cause your period to basically come early or mess it up for a month or two because of all the hormones in it. It's normal, I suggest you take a test in a few weeks tho just to be on the safe side.. and maybe try another form of B/C instead of the pill..

Like Nuvaring. You just have to be sure to check that it doesn't fall out. (it seldom happens and I was on it for 3 mo with no problems before getting off it.)

the weird brown stuff is dryed blood. more than likly its not. the morning after pill does not work all the time but your on birth control. i would say its beacuse of plan b for sure

okay. well i just think it's quite weird that this stuff is brown. but it's most definitley not pregnancy right?

i guess i'll just wait and see.

The Morning after pill had a tendency to screw up your peroids. There are quite a few posts in the archives about this topic and I would def check them out.

but i took the morning after pill on the 5th of this month.
can symptoms still be lasting?

if you were ovulating yesterday then there is no chance of pregnancy. When you ovulate the egg only has a 24 hour window to be fertilized and sperm can only live about 3-5 days in perfect conditions. Most likely the bleeding is from taking the morning after pill since it is know to cause bleeding after you take it.

well i usually dont start right now, it would be pretty early. and i usually get that too but its usually more sticky, this isnt. today would be the day after i was done ovulating. does that have anything to do with it?

Brown discharge is usually old blood that has been sitting in the vagina. This is usually a sign that you are about to start. Or at least it has been for me before.
