Pregnancy

Could I be pregnant? Had unprotected sex on the 12th day after my period, he didn't ejaculate at all that day but i'm not so sure about precum. I also took the Plan B that night just in case but I been researching & its been said that the pill may not work if it is taken during the time of ovulation. I'm not sure if this is true or not. But i still want to know the possibilites of if i can be pregnant or not. I'm still patiently waiting for my period, and in approximately 15 days i'll see if i get my period or not.

Thank you! :)  I'm not sure about my cycle, I think it's 28 days but not so positive. But one more question, is it possible to know if I'm ovulating? I been having lighter discharge & I was wondering if that's due to the pill.

Hi!
Depending on the brand, the emergency contraceptive pill will not act after 48-72 hours of unprotected intercourse. Some pill types may be effective if taken within 5 days of unprotected intercourse. The pills act by preventing or delaying ovulation and hence are not effective in preventing fertilization if ovulation has occurred. The pills will also not act if there is an established pregnancy. In this case, the pills will not harm the growing fetus.
In your case, since it was the 12th day of your period, there is a chance that you have not ovulated. If you have a regular cycle of 28 days, then the probability of not ovulating is still higher. However, if your cycle varies by 2-3 days, then there is a possibility that you had already ovulated when you had sex. You will have to wait for 12 days after the date of intercourse to test for pregnancy. An ultrasensitive good quality test should be used. Otherwise it is best to wait until next periods date and test if you miss periods. Take care!
