anesthesia and pregnancy

im about to have a surgery to have a polyp removed from my nose and they are using anesthesia, i think i may be pregnant very earlt in my first trimester. will this hurt my baby or affect the pregnancy?

General anasthesia is a big NO NO if you are pregnant.  If it's a local anasthetic then it should be fine.  You DO need to inform the doctor PRIOR To your procedure that there is a chance you may be pregnant.

tell the doctor! before you have anything done, if you suspect pregnancy tell them. they can take the proper precautions if you are.
