Taking a contraceptive pill will not show up on a blood or urine test.
As i was reading the post i wondered the same thing. but ahg28 has a good point. There's different laws, families are different as well.
Everyone, this poster lives in India, not the USA. Does anyone know if medical confidentiality between doctor's, patients, and the patient's parents apply in India as they do in the US? You can't just tell this girl stuff like her medical records are private when she lives in another country--many areas of India are still very controlling over women--unless you know the medical confidentiality laws of Bangalore, India.
Like jesslee83 said, this 26 year old adult female is probably still living with her parents, who will make an arranged marriage for her.
If she's using contraceptives without their knowledge, that probably means she's sexually active when she "shouldn't be," according to her parents. That's probably why they are going to the doctor with her, because they are still her "supervisors," possibly. Her parents may not be able to marry her off if the man and family they chose for her to marry find out she's not a virgin.
Aren't you 26 years of age?
Why would this decision have ANYTHING to do with your parents? You are a grown woman for pete's sake?!
And WHY would you have them at your dr.'s appointments?
I am very confused.
as an adult they are not allowed to share your info with anyone aside from you w/o your consent.....
other posters...i think her issue is that she is not married, lives at home, and her parents are conservative....i'm guessing here.....therefore, she engages in premarital sex against their wishes, as well as takes b/c, and is worried her dr may tell her parents, which would alert them as to her extra curricular activities.....therefore, causing an uproar in "their" home.....
u r 26 years old it is against the law for the doctor to share any of ur information with ur parents unless u give them permission otherwise.just tell them to call you and only you with any results.
It does not show up but I would ask the doctor to not tell your parents even if it by chance does.. They have to respect your privacy.
i didnt even know what your question was but your title is pregnancy. if you dont want to be pregnant use CONDOMS ALWAYS as well as birth control!
no probably not. even if, you can ask to see the doctor by youself. just tell your mom or who ever that u feel uncomfertable. tell your doc if you want. they have to keep your confidentiality.
