Did they perform a biopsy on the nodule before recommending removal?? Sometimes the recommendation is due to the size of the nodule as well,
If that nodule is not cancerous and takes up iodine the Radioactive Iodine ablation can be performed to shrink that nodule.
No biopsy so far as because of goiter's & nodule's size everybody recommends surgery.
That is understandable, however i believe that a biopsy should be the first step. My largest nodule was 3.7cm and i didn't have the surgery until 2yrs after diagnosis..3fna's later.
Thanks, but I've decided for a trial period, with no exams or specialist... ;-)
Yesterday, I've shared more & linked my blog but they removed it and not gave me the permission to link it again... If you're interested, you might search for my Google blog yourself: Aida's Breuss Cure Diary
