Swollow a tennis ball

I had my thyroid removed 6 weeks ago.  Over the past week by the end of the day I feel like I have swolled a tennis ball. I feel like I'm gagging and find it hard to swollow anything.  Also I really feel like a pokeygranny.  Can anyone give me some advice.  Is this normal.

did you go on meds after your surgery If so it will take a bit to get leveled out. scarlett is right it takes time to heal after surgery and the thyroid can really mess you up.     Just take your trime to heal.\

Yes this is normal. 6 wks is a short time- give yourself  alot more time to recover. Rest as much as possible, surgery is trauma to the body- and since the thyroid controls so much in your body it will most certainly need more than 6wks to adjust.

Hang in there it does get better!
