muscle twiching

my muscles  have been twitching all over the body for  4 months.  i was on 0.175 mcg of levothyroxin for many years, slightly hyperthyroid on that dose, but functioning somewhat well. A few month ago the dose was reduced to o.150. mcg after  THS  came out as  0.03.  In 2 month I 've developed muscle twitching, and neurologist diagnosed a mild myopathy congruent with thyroid d-se. the endocrinologist couldn't find my thyroid  on ultrasound and blood test showed  Hoshimoto.  the  endocrinologist Rx o.137 brand  levoxyl, but i can't take it , because it makes me somnolent.  Have anybody experienced muscle twitching? Did  any thyroid med of  particular manufacture  give any side effect?

Nervous etc so off of that I went too.i get twitching, back jerks or twitch rather, severe blurriness, and itching, went to optimologist they said my vision is good...but it's not.i have 4 kids and feel like I'm at the end of my rope.i feel hopeless, and my panic level is at a all time high but don't let my kids know I can't keep going on like this ...told my dr and I don't thing they know! I had muscle twitching when I was hypo.  TSH is not a good indicator of thyroid levels.  Most important are FreeT3 & Free T4!  My tests showed at that point FT3 was too low.  After adding a low dose T3 med(cytomel) the twitching stopped.  Please post your lab results if you have them.

By the way, I have hashimoto's and had my thyroid removed a year ago due to it constantly fluctuating and turning hyper,  I take levothyroxine too, but as mentioned above, I don't think it's due to the drug itself.

I am having that same problem.  I am twitching everywhere.  I sometimes feel as if I have MS.  I also have constant chest pain. I've had tons of testing and they can't figure out why as of yet.  My cardiologist thought due to the twitching and spasms everywhere that I might be having coronary artery spasms.  I hope not!  I keep telling my doctors about the excessive twitching, but no one seems concerned.  Sometimes I get pins and needles in various areas as well (once it was in my head for a few weeks).  My tongue keeps itching and my heart muscle was even twitching.  I could watch it moving out of my chest.  That was so scary!  I wish I had answers.

Please post any other thyroid tests you've had (FT3 and FT4) and include the reference range from your own lab report.

All the different brands and generics have different fillers (inactive ingredients).  Some people are sensitive to what one manufacturer uses, and it's as simple as changing manufacturer.

However, my best guess is that it's not the 137 Levoxyl that's making you sleepy, but the fact that your meds have been adjusted too low (because your doctor is dosing by TSH only).

If you have other results, please post them, and maybe we can make more concrete suggestions.
