A mess

I have just recently been switched to Armour after being on Sythroid for 21 years.  I also am on Yasmin birth control due to menstrual issues, I am on Metformin due to insulin issues.  I am wondering when the Armour will help and will it help be able to come off the two other medications.  I do have adrenal problems and take Adrenogen, DHEA, fish oils and vitamin D for a vitamin D deficiency.  I was told that Armour can help with alot of this, is that true?

I find any birth control meds effect any thyroid meds and hormone issue. Yasmin is new and not much research available on hypothyroid patients. When were you placed on Yasmin- during Synthroid or now with Armour?

If you can - state the change on why you went to Armour as the above states. Armour can increase hyper symptoms as it did for me - but now regulated I never felt better. I did have a conversion situation with T4 -T3 so Synthroid was not working for me.

Also tell us what mcg Synthroid you were on and what mcg now with Armour.  Armour can help some of the issues you talked about - but with being on the birth control Armour may not give you what is needed properly.

I am not sure armour can help with anything but the thyroid.  Why did they put you on armour after being on synthroid for so long?  I had real problems with the armour and went very hyper on it.  I went back to the synthroid.  I am still trying to adjust the dose after being on it for four months.  I hope they started you off on a small dose of the armour.
