~ATTENTION ALL DRIED OUT SKIN HYPO THYROID MEMBERS~~

I know..... I know ... by now some of you think I really am a "true" blonde (which I am ....only 3 shades darker) BUT i was reading............. (Oh no she was reading again :)... I can hear it :)

I found something totally awesome to use on my horrible yucky skin.  AGE OLD SAYING: "If you can't eat it -- don't put it on your skin!!  Makes alot of sense. Our skin is our sponge and will absorb any chemicals we put on it and enviromentally will take a beating,

Ready??????

OLIVE OIL !!!  rub it all over your body ( have someone rub it on your back - it is beautiful :)) ) IT IS amazing!!!!  I hurt so bad today I wanted to scream - and in desperation I grabbed the bottle after weeks of reading about it . I had Scott rub it on my sore neck and back

WAAAALAAAA !! it felt amazing. I actually feel like I am not burning and cracking right now!!! I even put it on my face and neck and it feels unbelievable.

Am I nuts??? ( I have been called worse trust me)  It is the best feeling on dry skin you can imagine. No commerical cream EVER felt this good

WEAR OLD CLOTHES.. after you apply - the oil will stick around for a while.

If anyone dares to try .. let me know how you feel.

Oh dear Liz

I totally know the hair deal !!! I have alot to begin with and it is normally fluffy. This frizz is terrible.

In the 80's big hair was good - .... now well... not so good. I probably never should of dropped out of beauty school. I would no what to do - my mom says mayo. I just can't gring myself to that though. "Salad head" stink'n like eggs :(

Yeap - coconut oil burns fat - reacts like L- Carnitine -- shrinks the fat cell and then burns it quicker. so rubbing it on your body would absorb and shrink the cells as it does ingesting it.

Great thought. -- thanks

It came out fine but I had to lather and rinse twice.  My poor hair is out of control with this thyroid stuff. It's uncontrollable and so dry. I'm hoping once my meds get stablized it'll look a little better.

Did it come out OK after you washed it?

OMG - I thought of that too after I used the olive oil. Not b/c of any greasyness - but because coconut oil is much better for you and it burns fat too. I was going to go this week to get some.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm very happy you mentioned that!

Hey, the other night I was desperate because my hair is a dried out mess. I heated a cup of olive oil and put it in my hair, wrapped it in a towel and left it there for 45 minutes. Worked very nicely!

I've tried the olive oil thing too - but i hated that greasy feeling so I searched for something new. I've been using organic coconut oil. It works as well as the olive oil without the greasies. Roughly the same price as olive oil and a tiny amount goes a long way.

Three cheers for natural products that work!

$4 ... or something for a big O'le bottle of straight Olive oil. you bet I'll get some by the gallons.

Even getting ready for work this morning I looked at my face and I really don't even have to wear any foundation. I brought back some pinkness back into my face. and my eyes wrinkles seem smoother.

I am just amazed what desperation did for me.

Avon has a line of products in one of their smaller booklets called Mediteranean something or other .. it is a cream that is olive oil based and was great .. but I haven't gotten it in quite some time .. wasn't too pricey!

As dry as my skin is right now - maybe between the cold weather and the thyroid stuff. It worked well - I will have to do this more often. As thick as olive oil is it stucked in so well that this morning I feel nicer skin. My back is the worse along with my legs.

I had no stickey feeling at all.

I knew a woman who put olive oil on her babies after their bath!

I order skin care products from a company in Japan called DHC.

Many of their products contain olive oil. Non sticky, too. (More expemsive, though!)

I have been using these for several years and love it!

Good idea- Stella!

Hi...I read some time ago (quite a few years infact) about olive oil on dry skin..and I would rub it in after each shower...while still wet.   Wow..and had forgotten about it, I will make a point of adding that to my shower stall again for my old alligator skin . Thanks for that!
