Acid Reflux After Thyroid Biopsy?

Almost immediately after getting a thyroid biopsy on my thyroid nodules, I suffered a serious burning sensation,  acid reflux and burping.  It's lasted for months and won't go away.  I have NEVER experienced these sensations before.  Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

No.  My doctor says he can't do these tests, wants me to go to a GI specialist.  Or put me on Prilosec.  Gotta love it, just throw more drugs at the problem, not see if you can fix the problem.

Dr. said that he's never heard of this burning "acid reflux" type symptom before.  I noticed in the epidemiologic literature there appears to be no mention of it, yet you find people complaining about it on sites such as this.  Of course, what dr. wants to admit that he caused something like this by bungling the biopsy? (He didn't even get enough tissue to determine whether the nodules are cancerous or not).

Have you had any conclusive tests (bronch, endoscopy, ph study) identifying reflux as the culprit?
