No, I went to an appointment to a family practitioner because I was sick and he just ordered me fasting blood levels and a urinalysis. I mentioned to him that I was hypo and taking synthroid, so I guess he just wanted to order a TSH to see what the level was. But next time I go to my endo, I'll ask what the Free T3 and T4 levels are. What are they supposed to be?
Are they also testing Free T3 and Free T4? Those are the actual thyroid hormones and you need to know what they are. Any doctor dosing your med based only on TSH is not helping you.
TSH is a pituitary hormone and varies greatly even during the course of a day. Some people do just fine with low TSH (mine latest one was less than 0.01), but I also know what my FT levels are, so it's not a concern for me.
If you've had FT3 and FT4 tested, please post the results along with the reference ranges, since these are lab specific so must come from your own lab report.
You need to be able to maintain your thyroid levels while pregnant, but without testing FT3 and FT4, there's no way you can know what they are.
