Any side effects from Levothyroxine ?

Hi.  I am getting reading to start taking Levothyroxine to try and shink a nodule.  I am only taking 1/2 of a 25mcg tablet a day.  

I'm a worrywart about side effects ... does it make you tired, jittery, gastro upset, etc, or has it been positive?  

Also, I know you're supposed to take it on an empty stomach (1/2 hr before eating) but does that include coffee????  Uhg ... I need my cup of joe 1st thing!!!!

Thanks.  I am going to start it Monday.  So we'll see how it goes.  I all ready have hyper symptoms though and that's what worries me ... I don't want them to get worse.  It seems from what I've read so far that most that have hyper symptoms take something different.

If it sends you hyper then you can have the side effects you listed. The small dose you are taking should be OK since you are just starting meds.

SOme say it is fine to take with coffee - some do not.

I found with people experience it is best to take it with water and have that coffee later.
