Spontaneous flushing

I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with spontaneous flushing.  I've dealt with this on and off for years.  It will happen when drinking, nervous, or for no reason at all.  I'm trying to figure out if anything is triggering the hot flashes.  The last two days at work I've had this happen for no apparent reason.  My neck and chest turned bright red and splotchy.  It did happen a few hour after eating on both days.  I've been really good and eating a salad for lunch everyday at work since I've been Hypo, but the last two days I ate a sandwich.  I'm wondering if this could be a gluten allergy.  The redness seems to be radiating from my thyroid area and everyone at work is asking me if I'm okay.   I had my meds adjusted two weeks ago.  Maybe it's my body adjusting to the new dose of synthroid.

Thanks for you answers. I think I'll keep a food log and see if it happens again.  Maybe hormone too, It was that time of the month and got hives bad 3 days in a row.

Hi I get it alot. It is a serotonin hormonal release. I actually had a great dose of red flushing whilst talking to my (then) psychiatrist. He was great and showed me the cause of it is to do with the brain releasing a serotonin rush. Doesn't make you feel good, but it just does it.
At the time I was VERY hypo and do notice it far more when I go back to hypo, like I am now.
Being fair skinned we are more prone to it too, unfortunately.

I get that when I am hypo., and also from my female hormones at times...lol
Keeping a food diary will help you to know if it is something you are eating.
