Are most nodules found on left thyroid?

I had a nodule on left thyroid. How many others have had nodule on left thyroid? I mean a single nodule with no prior thyroid problems. Or at least has never been diagnosed by a doc with a thyroid problem. I am wondering and I am mean just wondering if it's not just what I have read about how a nodule can come to be which is by exposure to radiation. How about the cell phones and the cordless phones? I hold the phone on my left.
My nodule was found at the beginning of the year by ultrasound. I never felt it at all. It measured 2.3 cm (about 1 inch). From what my Endo and even the surgeon who did my PT, said I had it for years. Ok, how long is years? I have had a cell phone now for 4 1/2 yrs and talked in it ALOT. With phone by my left side of head. I also had cordless phone which I used also holding on left side.
Not to start something here, but just wondering if that could be a connection. Because we have all heard about cell phones causing brain tumors (is that REALLY TRUE).  Just a thought that came to mind.  I am not meaning to open a can of worms here.

My nodules are on the left.  One is about an inch, and the other is about 1/4 inch.  I feel something there with some discomfort when I swallow.  That's how mine were picked up.  I had NO idea the other symptoms I have been having for two years were hypothyroid.  I haven't 'technically' gotten a dx yet, but have had all the testing, just waiting for PCP and endo appt.  I have had cell phone for MANY years, always talking on left.  Hmmmm, interesting correlation.

My nodules that were found in 1985 and ended up being papillary thyroid cancer were both on the right side of the thyroid.  That was the pre-cell phone era as well.  I'm not sure there is a predominance one way or the other.
