I wouldn't think its a thyroid issue. I have felt a little bean size bump in that area as well and I also know of others who have as this too. However, it didn't last long and nothing to do with thyroid. Thyroid is not where you take you neck pulse. Nodules or goiter is where the thyroid is, just below your Adams apple. If that is where you feel it, then perhaps you should see an endo. A lot of health issues causes high heart rate. You might try antidepressants for you anxiety and paranoia.
Perhaps others will give you their knowledge and experience.
Just my personal opinion and/or experience. Always discuss your health issue with your doctor , always adhere to your doctors advise and, you always have the right to a second opinion. Nothing is a 100% or a 100%, 100% of the time. However, we are not all alike!

The bean size bump has just been there forever. Mine doesn't go away. I mean I went to an ENT and he didn't say anything about it so I guess it's fine.
You're right about a fast heart rate being a bunch of things. I know I don't have a heart problem because I have got all my tests done for it, and they told me it just might be my nervous personality. I can't sit down without shaking my legs, or having something in my hand and I noticed when im actually CALM my bpm is around 80-85 which is normal.
