Armour Thryoid Questions?? I start tomorrow.

I am supposed to start on my Armour 15mg tomorrow. I had taken Synthroid 75mcg, which sent me into hyper. My questions stem from different things I've read on here. I was told to take one pill in the morning.... starting out slow so that I don't go hyper again!

1. I have read that Armour only lasts 4hrs??? (graveslady)
2. So does that mean I need to take more through out the day??
3. Could being 'sensitive' to medication ( which I am. I can take an 1/8 of a sleeping pill and be knocked out for over 12 hrs.)  be the reason that 75 mcg. pushed me over to hyper? Or does it just plain mean that I was over prescribed??

Thanks for all your help ahead of time!!

Go to www.tpa-uk.org.uk and look under 'files', how to take Armour.
It also has a table showing the equivalent strengths between Armour/thyroxine.
You basically split your dose (tablet)  am/pm
