Can H. pylori infection cause hypothyroidism?

I read that many bacterial/viral infections, if left untreated, will lead to hypothyroidism.  Is this true in case of H. pylori infection?  In fact, this infection has many symptoms similar to low thyroid like fatigue, indigestion, low iron, low B-12... Any comment is appreciated.
