Can Hyperthryroidism cause headaches, especially feeling of pressure?

I was diagnosed ten days ago with hyperthyroidism. My T4 level is 23.5, T3 Uptake is 46, FTI is 10.8, total T3 is 488 and TSH is <0.01.

I am seeing an endocrinologist Orlando in another 2 weeks because there is none in my country. I still have palpitations despite being on propanolol and propylthiouracil.

i have constant headaches like pressure in the head. i had surgery 9 years ago for cerebellar herniation. Could the headaches be due to this or hyperthyoidism. How long does the medicine atke to work??

I used to feel like my head was in  "a vice being crushed'.
Shocking feeling.
I took paracetomol for it but I also think it is sinus related and one day took a low dose (non drowsy) antihistimine and that cleared it.
Havent thad that sensation since RAI and TT 2 years ago.

What I don't like is not knowing what is going on with me. I too have menstrual problems and profuse sweating, almost embarassing and i have a severe intolerance to heat. I can't wait to see a specialist and get to the bottom of this.

Hmm it could be either you could have had another herniation or it very well could be thyroid and probably is.  Looking back when I was hyper that is the main thing I can remember and went to the doctor for a few times I didn't know I was hyper actually only know now because of my medical records and my sons craniosynostosis.  The other problems were menstral, and sweating.  I am not sure how long the meds take to work since I never recieved treatment while i was hyper.  But when I started getting treatment years later for hypo the headaches ceased and it is the most wonderful thing.  I hope it works that way for you also.

If you are going to get pregnant now or even anytime in the future you need to be monitored very close and watch antibodies because it can cause craniosynostosis which requires a huge life threatening surgery.

Good luck!
