Can You Have Lymphotic Thyroiditis With Normal Thyroid Labs?

Does  anyone  here  know  if  it's  possible  to   have   some  chronic  lymphocytic   thyroiditis   with  all  normal  thyroid   blood  tests?  I  have  always  had  normal  thyroid  blood  tests  including  for  antibodies  that  I   had  tested  for  the  first  time  last  year.

Last  year  I  had  a  biopsy  of    3  small  thyroid  nodules,  and   the  largest  is  1cm  the  smallest  were  5.  something  and  7 . something  and   when  I  got  a   second   opinion  from   a  top  pathologist  at  university  of   Penn,  he  describes   some  Hurhle  cells   and  few  lymphocytes    percolating  among  the  follicular  groups   suggesting  an  element  of  chronic  lymphocytic  thyroiditis.

The  Hurthle  cells  and  the  element  of  chronic  lymphocytic   thyroiditis  wasn't  found  in  the  largest  1cm  nodule. My  endo  unfortunately  combined  the  cells  from  the  2  smallest  nodules   in  the  same  container   so  I  don't  know  which  of  the  smallest  nodules   this  came  from  or  if  it  came  from  both  of  the  smallest   ones.

Also, in    my  recent  thyroid  ultrasound   the  radiologist   describes  my  thyroid  echotexture   as  being  heterogenous   and    the  other  2  ultrasounds   I  had  done  there  last  year  and  in  July  2007   my  thyroid  echotexture  was  always  described  as   homogeneous.

The  radiologist  called  me  back   and  left  a  nice  long  message  on  my  voice  mail   and  gave  me   a  better  phone  #  to   reach  her  to  discuss  my  ultrasound  in   details. She  said  on  my  voice  mail  that   the  heterogeneous   echotexture  of  my  thyroid  reflects  the   lymphotic  thyroiditis.

Two  months  before  I  hade  my  FNA   my  thyroid  echotexture  was  still   described  as  homogeneous. I  have  no   symptoms  at  all  except  an  etremely  slow  metabolism   for  the  last  10  years.

I  don't  understand   how  it  can  be  possible  to  have  chronic  lymphocytic    thyroiditis  with  all   consistent  normal  thyroid  labs. When  I  look   up   chronic  lymphocytic  thyroiditis   on  medical  sites  it  says  that  it's  another   name   for  Hashimotos   and  goes  on  to   describe  symptoms  that  I   don't  have.

I  had  asked  the  university  of  Penn  pathologist  about  this   and  he  said  you  don't   have  Hashimotos, or  hyper  or  hypothyroid   conditions  to  have  chronic  lymphocytic  thyroiditis, but  I  don't  understand   how  that  can  be  if  this  is  the  same thing.

If  anyone  has  any  info  I  would  really  appreciate  it.Thanks.

But   my   antibodies  were   not   high  my  endo   sent  me  the  detailed  report  of  the  extensive  blood  tests  he  ran   and   he   told   me  there  was  no   autoimmune  condition!

I think I am repeating this, but yes, I have "normal thyroid function" but I have Hashi's.  My TPOab's are high, that is the indicator.  When they find TPOab is high, it means your body is considering your thyroid foreign and is trying to destroy it.
