My feet and face showed some fluid retention before I was diagnosed. My eyes also around my eyes looked like puffy little bags since starting the levoxyl I've noticed the eyes aren't nearly as puffy.
I didn't know drinking more water helps. I will be upping my intake. Now if only I could exercise. I'm still feeling a little tired and it's getting colder here so that doesn't help. I really need to be consistent with the exercise.
Is fluid retention dangerous? I haven't called my Dr. because I wasn't sure if it was a big deal or not?
Thanks for the info.! I appreciate it.
I used to have a lot of fluid retention -- feet, legs, hands, arms, face - especially around and under the eyes. Once I got on thyroid med, the very thing that left me was the bags under my eyes......I still have some fluid retention but it's not nearly as bad as it used to be and I find that exercise helps it considerably, as does drinking more water.
Hi
Thanks for letting me know it's good to know someone else experienced the same.
Take Care
Hey there
I am very new to all of this but I also noticed I had fluid retention when I started Levo a few weeks ago, it sorted itself out on it's own after a few days.
Good luck
