Thanks. I'll try taking it in the am. I always wake up tired so perhaps that will help.
It is not the medication, it is the weight gain, The tissue at the top and back of the throat builds up fat deposits when you gain weight, and this in turn reduces your airway causing a vibration in this tissue, thus Snoring
Other causes would be Sleep Apnea, when breathing stops during sleep and you have reduced oxygen levels, Acid Reflux Disease, where stomach acid backs up into the esophagus during sleep, the throat tissue becomes inflamed and swells up and reduces air flow, thus causing snoring. To begin with I would not take the thyroid medication at night, most take it in the am and wait an hour before eating, and 4 hours before ingesting fiber.
Snoring can be a serious sign in some and you should be checked out at a sleep clinic, I too had a snoring issue when I was overweight, the sleep clinic said I stopped breathing for 59 seconds while sleeping on my back.
This was due to being overweght, but low blood oxygen can cause all kinds of problems. Good Luck FTB4
