I commented because the reference was to Hashi's. However, I'm sure there are people better able to comment on thyca and tests to check for thyroid activity than I. I'd suggest you post a new question with reference to thyca and testing. That way, you'll attract people who have been through it and know more.

Thank you for your answer. My thyroid was removed because one of the nodules was found to have a spot of cancer. I was lucky enough that it was so small that I did not require any follow-up, although it did take about 4 years to get my TSH regulated, and it still fluctuates at times.
My TSH goal is .3 to .5 in an attempt to prevent any stray thyroid cells to grow. If I do have stray thyroid cells growing, how would my doctor know??
