Chest pain, sweating, shaking

I have been having tightness in my chest, sweating, hot flashes, shaking (both on the inside and outside), pain in my neck, pain in my back between my shoulder blades, episodes of belching (even with nothing to drink for over 6 hours)...

I was going to go to the ER this morning when I woke up freezing and shaking. I don't have a temp or anything. Could this be thyroid related? I had my TSH and free T3 and T4 done yesterday. Didn't get results yet? I am taking 125 mcg of levothyroxine daily. Most recent TSH was .34, my dr hasn't run a t3 or t4 at all until yesterday.

I am terrified...pain in my chest comes and goes but has been a constant pressure for days.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the response! I am only 29 though so I don't think that it is premenopause, although you aren't the first person to mention that!

It could be from thyroid or even heart related. A visit to the doctor would be a good idea.

Hi, I get all of those symptoms but I'm suffering from thyroid problems and a premature menopause, and it's hard to tell which one the symptoms come from as apparantly they both produce similiar symptoms. But the sweating, hot flashes and shaking I am pretty sure come from the menopause. So I don't know how old you are, but if you are in your 40's or 50's it might be useful to get a blood screen done for menopause. Hope this helps.

It could be thyroid related.
I had a similar experience 2 weeks ago with most of the same symptoms (see my journal) I was diagnosed at the ER with anxiety and given a pill & sent home.  I talked to my endo  , & he reduced my synthroid (levothyroxine) he said it may have been too high. . .I was nervous so I also saw a cardiologist and had a few tests run. . .luckily everything came back fine so I'm assuming it was either anxiety, the synthroid dose or a combination of the two.

However, if you don't feel right, go to the ER and get checked out. . .or call your doctor.  Don't diagnose yourself.  It's better to get checked out and have nothing be wrong.

Keep us posted!
Be well!
