Confused about ANA

This is the background info, I have basically been feeling completely awful for the past 4-5 months (chronic fatigue, insomnia, joint pain, nervousness, lost weight, no appetite, swollen glands/lymph nodes etc). I had my first thyroid test done and had elevated TSH levels. I had more tests done which showed normal Thyroid hormone levels but high antibodies. I went to an endocrinologist who did nothing but order more tests (He said I may have Hashimoto's). I just got the results for my most recent tests.
ANA- 2.3  standard range <1.5
TSH-  0.286 standard range 0.400-5.500 uU/ml
Free T4-1.8  standard range 0.7-1.8 ng/dL
I was also tested for several specific antibodies which all came back negative (SM, RNP, SSA, SSB, ds DNA etc) Does this most likely mean that I do not have any other autoimmune disorder (or at least it's not showing up at this point)? I also don't understand how my TSH could go from high to low in about 1.5 months. I know Hashimoto's causes hypothyroidism but now my levels are on the high end which doesn't make sense? Also since I was positive for ANA but yet negative for all of the specific antibodies, could the ANA just be attributed to Hashimoto's? I'm am waiting for the doctor to call me for his thoughts about these results, I am just anxious to get answers now since it has been a back and forth ordeal since August. Any insight would be appreciated :)

Either find a new Dr who will listen to you, or ask this rheumatologist to run antibody tests for Graves Disease. That is what I would do. Don't give up and push for what you want.

I wasn't really tested for anything, my endo doesn't seem to want to do anything. They just called me today and said that those numbers were completely normal, which I don't understand how that is possible when tsh is low and my Free T4 is technically "normal" but it's at the highest end of the range. For the ANA test they are sending me to a rheumatologist, so I don't know what is going on doctors never seem to look at symptoms, they just care about numbers.

Did you have any testing done for Graves disease as well?  Hashimoto's can cause you to swing both ways at the beginning, but I would also test for Graves.
I would also ask your Dr to order an ultrasound of the thyroid to see if you have nodules that are producing extra hormone.  :)
