Continue with Surgery?

Pre-Op for Hysterectomy 11/7
FNA of both sides of thyroid 11/12
Endo receives FNA results 11/17
Hysterectomy 11/18

I'm unsure whether to continue with PreOp (and associated costs) for Hysterectomy since there is a possibility that FNA will come back with cancerous or inconclusive results, both of which will result in removal of thyroid gland.
Hysterectomy CAN be put off (I would just prefer not to).
Is all this too close for comfort? My Endo has given me the go ahead for the Hysterectomy if I would like to have it performed. Still waiting to talk to Surgeon.
Any feedback appreciated.

Thank you so much Barb. I'm already quite nervous about the hysterectomy, and I wanted to make sure that I am handling everything correctly.

The type of uterine issues you're having would not be due to your thyroid, which explains why they have been as bad or worse since being on Synthroid.

Recovery time following a laproscopic hysterectomy is minimal.  I had a complete vaginal laproscopic hysterectomy and was back on my feet the following day;  if not for an unforeseen blood clot that put pressure on my bladder, which caused other, unrelated issues, I'd have been back to work within a week.

The thyroidectomy, if needed, is also a one day surgery and for most recovery time seems to be minimal.  After that, getting the hormone dosages right is the biggest thing and you've already been dealing with that, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I, personally, would want to do them and get them over with, but of course, you're the only one who can make the decision.

I attempted to post this on my original thread a few times and it kept disappearing after posting, so I opted to post a new thread. Sorry for the fragmentation. I was posting from my phone so I'm sure the issue was on my end.
I am having a hyster due to medical issues (adenomyosis, possible endometriosis, enlarged uterus, fibroids, long and painful periods that follow no real time frame, collected blood around emergency c section scar). I'm not sure if thyroid issues can cause all of these issues.....if so, maybe they are related. However, I have had 2 cycles on Synthroid and my TSH and FT4 are within range and the issues have been as bad if not worse.
It will be a robotic laprascopic hyster.
I was worried that if it turned out that I needed my thyroid out (Endo is taking out if cancerous *which I understand is rare* or inconclusive) that it would be too close to this surgery for comfort as far as healing time, etc.

I'm sorry, this is another incident where you have too many threads going and it's kind of fragmented.

I didn't know you planning to have a hysterectomy... did I miss that in one of the other threads?  I've been trying to follow them pretty closely.

Are you having the hysterectomy via laproscopy or regular incision?  I'm confused as to why you might want to it off.  Is it elective or are you having issues?

Since the reproductive system and the thyroid are both endocrine, is there a relationship between the 2 issues?
