Could a thyroid cause headaches, earaches, and sore teeth?

I have a host of problems and im seeking any help at all. About three years ago I had a concussion in a soccer game. I was knocked unconscious, but got up and managed to play the second half of the game. (big mistake) After the game I felt very sick and when my mom came to pick me up she took me to the hospital right away. The doctors said i had a concussion and gave my mom **** for letting me play the second half. I had a couple more concussions and ended up taking a full year off of all physical activity, as directed by a neurologist.

Fast forward to now. I keep trying to get back into soccer with great difficulty. Every time I play i get a throbbing headache, sore teeth, and an earache. It is much worse and more noticeable when playing in the cold. (I tried to play yesterday, it was about 10 degrees Celsius.) The symptoms subside not long after stopping. I feel now i cant pin these symptoms on post concussion syndrome, because it has been so long since i hit my head. Most family i talk to tell me im just out of shape, etc etc. I really dont think so though. Im not one to ***** and complain about things like this and normally just play through it, hoping it will go away with more exercise. It doesn't though.

Now, why is this in the thyroid forum? I went for my first physical with a new family doctor in more than 5 years last december. She felt a small lump on my neck and asked me some questions related to hyperthyroidism. I answered yes to shaky hands, copious amounts of sweat, heart palpitations etc. So she sent me for a blood test and an ultrasound. The blood test came back totally normal. The ultrasound revealed a thyroid nodule measuring 10mm x 15mm x 15mm and a collection of fluid nearby. Then i went for a CT scan on my thyroid which revealed nothing more than the ultrasound. Now im going for a second ultrasound tomorrow. This whole process has been going on since mid december. Im very frustrated and im looking for suggestions. Is there anyway this could be related to my problems in soccer?

I dont really know what anyone could say to me, im just at a loss for what to do. It looks like I wont be able to attend the university i wanted to because im medically unfit. My job *****, I have no girlfriend, I'm missing out on university a second year (first year i couldnt pick a major, opted to work and save some cash), and I cant even enjoy myself playing soccer.

Did you ever find out what the thyroid issue was? I had a neck MRI done after an auto accident and they just casually noted that they saw a nodule on my thyroid, but no one ever told me about it. Good thing I read my medical results or I may have never known. I'm still in the process of setting an appointment to have it checked out, but I have very piercing headaches on my left side, which no pain meds help, and horrible hot flashes/night sweats and just severe sweating episodes in general. I assumed the hot flashes were due to my being female, but now I'm wondering if it's related to the nodule. For the headaches, it seems the only relief comes from applying a great amount of pressure to the muscles down the side of my neck (I hope I'm not causing any damage in the process, but it's all that helps). Did you ever get any clear info for your situation?

Sorry to hear about those problems, it is hard for anyone to comment on your thyroid without you posting your lab results, TSH, T3 T4 and free T3, if you can post these results from your blood work, members here will explain them to you, There are a lot of different symptoms for thyroid , you can be Hyper (Over active or Hypo Underactive) and there is also Graves Desease and Hashimoto's Desease, You can look these up on the web and they have the related symptoms. IE     WEBMD   Let us know about your lab results and Good Luck FTB4
