I am glad I posted this for you.
I didn't have time to look at them all, but I did look at the first one, which particularly interested me, since I am currently dealing with my 91 yr old aunt who is depending on me to see her through her battle against breast cancer.
I have thought for some time that she has thyroid issues; however, when I did finally demand that she have thyroid tests, the doctor ordered only TSH and later, FT4. The first time, TSH was the only test ordered and the doctor admitted that it was "slightly elevated". The second time, I asked for FT4 and FT3 to be done also. The doctor refused on the FT3 but did do the FT4; that time, the TSH was "high normal" and the FT4 was "low normal". Dr said "no issues, both results are normal"........ I argued that even though they fell in the normal range, there was still an issue; I then asked for antibody tests - got only TPOab, which was < the max, but relatively high in the range.
At any rate, no matter what the test results show, I'm sure she has thyroid issues and I know she has RA, then came the breast cancer and the other issues have been "sidelined" for the time being, although, she has been on prednisone for many years for the RA.
I want to go back and read that article because there may well be something we can use for her.
In my own case, I've had 2 doctors recommend the Miami Mediterranean Diet - going to look into that.
