Uptake scan Monday...are there rules on not eating/drinking

I forgot to ask when I made the appointment and I wasn't able to call this week to ask. I'd think they would have told me when I made the appt if I couldnt eat or drink before the scan. Can you guys please let me know what the rules are?

Thanks for responding.
I dont have the best doctor and he would rather put me down about my weight gain then give me full details on tests. I will be seeking a new doctor after the scan results come in. I did not eat seafood or leafy greens this week so I should be good.

I had a scan last month .  There was no problem with eating and drinking.  However they told me not to eat any seafood or leafy greens for the week prior.

Did you ever receive an answer on this?  I will bump this to beginning to see if anyone has an answer for you.  Best thing to do is google and look it up if you don't get a response....there are a lot of medical sites that explain different medical procedures.  :)
