Daughters Test results

My daughter has recently experianced some hypo thyroid like symptoms. Hair loss, splitting nails, weight gain. She saw a Dermatologist who suspected the symptoms of hair loss and nail splitting to be thyroid related. I have Hashimoto's so we thought it might be that. But the test results are as follows:
Thyroid Peroxidase <10  ref range <35
T3 Total  233    ref range  97-219
T-4 Free  1.0
TSH, 3rd generation  2.30

The T-4 Total was not tested. It looks to me that the only thing off, or too high is the T-3 Total. She wasn't given an explanation about what this may indicate. I would appreciate your input about what might be the cause of this confusing situation. She will she my Endo as soon as possible, but I'm rather concerned until then. Thank You, Ruth

Free T3 is the active hormone, you should repeat your analyses to see it . Not necessary to test total T4, the most important values are TSH and free T4.

You should test your free T3 not total T3, other values look OK.
