I'm Choking... help me

Hi everyone,

About 4 weeks ago my doctor switched me from 150 mg of Synthroid to 137 mg.  I feel fine except that lately I have been having a choking tightness in my throat.  I have had this on and off throughout my struggle with hypothyroidism, but I have had it almost constantly for about a week now.  Do you think this is cause to see my doc?  I'm not scheduled to go back for another month.  Also, for those of you who have had this uncomfortable symptom, have you found anything that alleviates the feeling?

Thanks!

If this is the sign of socalled "thyroiditis attack" antiinflammatory pain killers can be used such as Ibuprofen.
also the dose of thyroid medicine has to be "fine" adjusted by the doctor

I'll let you know if I figure it out, selma.  I know a lot of people have the choking feeling, but I am wondering if it has to do with my Synthroid dosage being lowered.

I think I'll make some tea now!

I find I can get relief with a hot beverage....tea, coffee, chai.  I think it relaxes and soothes everything in there for a moment.
