Hello,

Don't worry.  It is normal for TSH to read very low in pregnancy - this is becuase pregnancy hormones affect TSH and the test result.  Actually, your doctor should be monitoring for FT3 and FT4 and adjusting your meds based on this.  It is normal during pregnancy to have an increase of thyroid meds of up to 50%.

in addition, it is better to be slightly hyper than hypo for the baby's sake.  However, your thyroid med at 50 mcg is not a full replacement dose and your thyroid may actually be kicking in during the pregnancy.

Don't worry.  Just keep monitoring.  But do see your doctor regularly and report to him if you have any symptoms or questions.

You can ask me anything related.  I have hypothyroid and am 7 1/2 months pregnant. I also took bromocriptine to get pregnant.

Congrats on your pregnancy.
